The Charles Mack Citizen Center is not just a space capable of hosting inspiring meetings, weddings, conventions, and special events, it is also the home of the Town of Mooresville’s performing arts program, “Our Town Stage”. The Joe V. Knox Auditorium is one of three performing arts venues offered by the Town of Mooresville, and is located in the Charles Mack Citizen Center. The Town of Mooresville offers a collection of performance event venues that bring an array of incredible concerts, musicals, children’s theater productions, comedy shows, and a variety of other entertainment events to the heart of Mooresville and the Lake Norman region. Our Town Stage strives to be the hub of wonder, creativity, transformation and performing arts by bringing high quality entertainment to the area. Some regular seasonal events are free to attend, such as the Rock The Park Summer Concert Series. Other events, require tickets that can be purchased in advance via the Our Town Stage website at www.ourtownstage.com.

Joe V. Knox Auditorium (JVK)

The Joe V. Knox Auditorium (JVK), located in the Charles Mack Citizen Center,  is an intimate 233 seat theatre style auditorium located in the heart of downtown Mooresville. JVK is a local treasure, full of history, character and charm that evokes the feeling of classic vintage theater!  Home to recitals, plays and other intimate performances by world-class artists and ensembles, JVK features a 30ft. x 24ft. stage, ample backstage support and storage space, separate dressing rooms with restrooms, a green room and loading dock for easy access. JVK is fully equipped with in-house theatrical light and sound booth.

It is also a space of learning, engagement, and expression for our various local theatre productions, as well as the home of the Our Town Stage Indoor Concert Series that hosts regional and national acts throughout the year. For upcoming shows and ticket information, visit www.ourtownstage.com.

Liberty Park Amphitheatre

The Liberty Park Amphitheater was built in 2020 with natural tones in mind to blend nicely with its wooded backdrop. This multifunctional space includes a beautiful bandshell for performances and events, a spacious lawn area, ample parking, and restroom access. The amphitheater offers lawn seating for around 1,500 with the option of adding chairs for an additional capacity of 200.
 
Home to the popular Rock The Park Summer Concert Series, the amphitheater is located right in the heart of Downtown Mooresville and is within walking distance to many of the area’s culinary favorites.

Mooresville Performing Arts Center (MPAC)

The Mooresville Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is a joint venture between the Mooresville School District and the Town of Mooresville. It opened in the winter of 2018 and is located on the campus of Mooresville High School close to Downtown Mooresville. This state-of-the-art facility has a seating capacity of 1,387, with an additional 308 seats in two lecture halls in the rear of the auditorium. These two lecture halls can be added to the main hall via retractable partition walls bringing the total seats to 1,695.

The Center has generous backstage facilities, including dressing room accommodations, rehearsal space and warm-up rooms. Upon request, a large array of specialized equipment can be set up including risers. The stage includes 23 line sets and an in-house follow spot. The stage measures 40 feet deep, 24 feet high, and 64 feet wide. A flexible facility allowing for innovative design and staging, MPAC is the ideal facility to host events. Large enough for national renowned acts, yet intimate enough to view lectures, concerts, musicals, and plays. The MPAC has all of the accoutrements necessary to hold a phenomenal event!
